The Story Behind These Frames

When starting Blue Eye our founder wanted to tell her story of loss, healing, and acceptance through her product design. After Hannah's accident there were many months of healing and multiple surgeries ensued putting Hannah on the road to wellness and recovery.

These stylish tortoise frames represent Hannah’s healing journey: as the tortoise comes out its shell to move ahead, so too has Hannah. To honor this time in her life she named these frames EMORY to thank the Oculoplastics surgeons that worked on her at Emory Eye Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

What makes our Sunglasses Shatter-Resistant?

All our frames are made from acetate or metal frames.

Acetate is a superior material to make glasses from as it is extremely durable, long lasting, lightweight, comfortable to wear and can produce high quality finishes, designs and colors.

All our frames have polycarbonate lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are designed to withstand impact as well as being thin, lightweight, and comfortable.

Along with being able to withstand impact they are also polarized, UVA, and UVB protection from sun rays. All of our lenses have a scratch resistant coating to help with normal wear and tear.

Care Guide

Store your glasses when you’re not wearing them. We provide you with a hard case to keep your sunglasses well protected. Do not keep your sunglasses in high intense heat, (ex. Leaving sunglasses on the dash of the car in the summer.) Intense heat will cause damage to your sunglasses.

When cleaning your lenses, please use your Blue Eye lens cloth. NEVER use tissues, paper towels, or even napkins to dry or clean your lens. This could possibly scratch the lens.
